For more than a decade, Hand Picked has been supporting young people into jobs by building their confidence and instilling a greater understanding of employer expectations.
Led by a team based at CR Smith Head Office in Dunfermline, and funded by CR Smith with support from the Scottish Government, Hand Picked is driven by a network of Scotland’s business owners and employers who understand today’s labour market and who are committed to nurturing Scotland’s future workforce.
Since the beginning, the focus has always been to put employers front and centre of the drive to build employability skills. It is employers who create the jobs and set the standards for new recruits. They are best placed to guide young people through the ever-evolving skills needed for successful employment.
If you are aged between 16-24, not currently working and actively seeking a job, Hand Picked can help you access opportunities to get into paid work.
We will give you practical advice to support you in your job search.
This includes one to one mentoring, the opportunity to attend a short course at the Hand Picked Academy or an online workshop.
For school leavers and for job seekers, our Academies offer hands-on, practical courses over three to five days.
